What an incredible selection!

After more than a month of diligent scrutiny and assessment, the MAIA judges and team are proud to announce the winners, runners-up and special commendations for The Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards for 2023.

Our 20 expert judges assessed 133 finalists – up from 40 last year – across 15 categories.

The incredibly high standard made the selection that much harder.

One category had so many strong entries that we split the category in two, to represent work at different stages. Another category had two entries so equally strong that we couldn’t split them – and so we have a tie.

As a result, we are announcing 16 incredible winners from 15 original categories. Only one category failed to produce an entry strong enough to deserve a winner – for crypto or blockchain education. We sincerely hope to see better work in this vital sector going forward.

We are also announcing 12 runners-up, who scored very close to the winners score, and might have been a winner in another category. We are also awarding 10 special commendations, for work not quite as close, but very interesting and powerful in its own way.

We congratulate them all for their hard work, their persistence, their innovation and commitment to changing the world. We also want to thank them for entering the MAIAs, for sharing their ideas and expertise to help it spread around the world.

They are all winners to us: they are all “making money better”.
