The Free Financial Helpline by Savvy Ladies Wins Two MAIAs!

In a remarkable achievement, the Savvy Ladies Free Financial Helpline for Women has been honoured with not just one, but two prizes at the Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards 2023 (MAIAs).

financialThis recognition is a testament to the impactful work carried out by Judy Herbst and her team at Savvy Ladies in providing free financial guidance to women across the USA.

Empowering Women with Financial Guidance

“The Savvy Ladies Free Financial Helpline for Women is a beacon of hope for women seeking financial literacy guidance,” says Trudi Harris, MAIA co-founder.

Through this initiative, women are connected with certified financial planners and advisors who offer their services on a pro bono basis. The helpline has experienced phenomenal growth, connecting over 2,400 women with volunteers in 2022, a significant increase from 150 in the previous year.

“Our Helpline educates women to make their own choices about money, build their self-confidence, and learn the importance of financial planning to protect themselves against economic hardship,” says Judy Herbst, Savvy Ladies’ founder.

A Vital Resource for Underserved Communities

Savvy Ladies recognizes the importance of reaching underserved communities and ensuring accessibility to financial guidance. The helpline has successfully reached women from diverse backgrounds, with 44% identifying as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color). Additionally, 22% of the helpline’s users have a household income under $25,000 per year, highlighting the crucial role the helpline plays in supporting women facing financial challenges.

“This free service empowers women to educate themselves and helps them learn to take control of their finances by providing 1:1 guidance with financial professionals,” emphasises Michael Gilmore, co-founder of the MAIAs.

Key Achievements and Future Goals

The impact of the Savvy Ladies Free Financial Helpline is evident through the improved financial knowledge, confidence, and decision-making capabilities reported by its users.

In 2022, 96% of helpline clients saw improvements in knowledge and anxiety levels.

Looking ahead, Savvy Ladies aims to expand its reach and serve even more women through the mobile app. With a projected increase to 300-400 women reached per month and a growing community of 300 volunteers by the end of 2023, the helpline is poised to make an even greater difference in the lives of women seeking financial guidance.

Savvy Ladies’ commitment to advancing financial literacy for all women is truly commendable. By providing free and unbiased financial education opportunities, they are empowering women to achieve financial independence, build wealth, and reduce economic and racial disparities.

If you or someone you know is seeking financial guidance, look no further than the Savvy Ladies Free Financial Helpline for Women.
