About The Money Fresk

”The Money Fresk” project embarks on a groundbreaking journey to revolutionize financial literacy through gamification, inspired by the successful model of Climate Fresk. Addressing a critical need within Switzerland — where only half of the adult population possesses adequate financial knowledge, with even lower rates among women, the youth, and foreign citizens — this initiative aims to dismantle barriers to financial empowerment. By transforming the OECD financial competence frameworks into an engaging, interactive workshop experience, ”The Money Fresk” makes the daunting world of finance accessible and enjoyable.

Unique in its approach, the game fosters understanding of the systemic nature of personal finance, challenging participants to establish connections and explore solutions within a supportive, collaborative environment. Designed for inclusivity, it caters to diverse groups, ensuring relevance across different ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds. This innovation not only promises to enhance financial literacy but also to instigate behavioral change, equipping individuals with the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.

As we seek to build a financially savvy society, ”The Money Fresk” stands out for its potential to create a ripple effect — educating, engaging, and empowering individuals, one game at a time. Through this project, we are not just teaching financial concepts; we are nurturing a community of informed citizens ready to tackle financial challenges head-on. With your support at the MAIA awards, we can expand our reach, transforming the landscape of financial education and opening doors to a future where financial well-being is within everyone’s grasp.
